MapQuest.com
is a leader in online mapping and driving directions, providing destination
information solutions to outdoor enthusiasts. MapQuest.com is the No. 1 mapping
site on the Internet, according to Media Metrix (July, 2002). MapQuest provides
very detailed maps and driving directions for the United States, Canada, and
most of Western Europe including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany,
Great Britain, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
Many users print out MapQuest.com pages to take with them as their guide on the
road.
TopoZone.com
has worked with the United States Geographical Services to create the Web's
first interactive topographical map of the entire United States. TopoZone has
ever USGS 1:100,000,1:63,360,1:25,000, and 1:24,000 scale topographic map for
the entire United States. Just type a place in the search box and go!
TerraServer.com is one of the world's largest
online databases, providing free public access to a vast data store of maps and
aerial photographs of the United States. TerraServer is designed to work with
commonly available computer systems and Web browsers over slow speed
communications links. Not surprisingly, the first place many people visit is
their own neighborhood. You also might want to take a look at famous places
such as our National Parks or your favorite sports parks. You can easily
navigate the enormous amount of information in TerraServer by selecting a
location on a map or entering a place name. Maps and images are supplied
through our partnership with the U.S. Geological Survey.
